The gambling man is back… only this time he’s playing one of the most bullshit moneysucking games ever invented in history. Seriously, at least with card games or mahjong the psychological element is a big part of it, but with pachinko it’s all up to chance, and yet so many Japanese people get scammed by this when 97% of the time the parlors aren’t even Japanese-owned and somehow this is legal yet casinos aren’t… (I have bad memories of trying to complete the pachinko minigame in Yakuza 5 so I could 100% it. Here’s a hint, game designers: If one of the best winning strategies is to start the game then walk away from it for a couple hours, chances are your game is bullshit.)

After watching Kaiji season 2, I’m fully on board with watching a person play a game of pachinko for several chapters/episodes.
