Shin Seikiden Mars episode 1 (Anime)

Here’s episode 1 of the Shin Seikiden Mars anime!

AVI FC | MKV FC | AVI & MKV Torrent

    491-HIT COMBO!
Yep, you guessed it! Despite its ending, we all loved Mars enough to do the anime! The faithful anime, at least, we’re not wasting our time with the bucket of crap that is God Mars. Now get ready to enjoy Yokoyama’s big “seriously, screw the world” epic all over again, this time in anime form!

So as you may notice, there are some changes going around here. Notably, this is the first anime release done as a joint with our partners over at HappyScans! We’re giving them a hand in starting up their own fansubbing department with this anime, and they’re going to take off from there! There’ll be some series they’ll do with us, and some series they’ll do without us, so keep an eye on their website to see what they come out with!

So with that said, I’d like to thank, as always, angel_of_chaotix for the timing, kazuhiko1412 for typesetting, Katatonia for translation checking, Destroyer Ring for editing, and GonbeFAN for QC! Now go out there and enjoy this before the world ends!

Wow! I never realized that Hokuto no Gun wasn’t some kind of butler that catered to my every whim! I now see the light and will appreciate whatever they release from now on!

In fact I was surprised when I saw this release from you guys, I thought it’ll be AnJ (Coz Saizen have already released it). But now, what a great project you have chosen (yes, I was waiting for this one, not that shitty lame one; that God Mars…)
Anyway, you guys have made my day, so thanks really for this awesomness, and good luck to Happy Scans for their futur fansubs!

This one is not that faithful either. It’s got a totally new backstory for Mars and his enemies and introduce to most annoying character of them all in the form of Muse. The ending is different too and it’s make the entire series pointless in my opinion.

      • SystematicChaos says:

Yes, that’s fair. But at least it keeps the basic premise and plot and characters, unlike God Mars which is basically just Mars in name only.

We may be able to get our hands on the OVAs which are even more faithful, but in that case we’ll save the best for last ;)

        • Usys222 says:

Yeah, I actually think the medieval-like planet from where Mars came in this anime is a reference to the God Mars anime. One thing that bothered me is how there’s no explanation for why Muse is so similar to Harumi, it’s just there. I appreciate they intentions but I think this anime suffers too much because of the 13 episodes format. But at least is better than Babel II Beyond Infinity, that one is inexcusable.

          • SystematicChaos says:

I haven’t seen Beyond Infinity yet, what exactly is it that makes it horrible? All I know is that the animation is kinda sub-par but the opening theme sounds pretty sweet.

            • Usys222 says:

The same studio made low budget animated versions of several classic manga like Go Nagai’s Mao Dante, Shotaro Ishinomori’s Genma Taisen and Yokoyama’s Mars. Despite being low budget and having some issues with the pacing, they’re usually faithfull to the source material. But later, the same studios made their own original stories based on classic manga, and all of them are terrible. Majuu Sensen, Wild 7 and Babel II Beyond Infinity are on this category, they are very loosely adapted from the original manga and have no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

      Ha Ha!

Hokuto no Gun: Good at subbing, also good at being douches. Now on with my plan to release Kinnikuman on youtube. Thanks for the go ahead.

      • SystematicChaos says:

I don’t see how enforcing the site rules, which have been in print for years, makes us douches. You were whining about Kinnikuman, so consider that edit a warning. Any further violations and you WILL be banned from the site.
