    New HnG/HoM Chat Page

    April 7th, 2009

    LoverOfHokuto(Avatar)

    Hi everyone!
I just wanted to let you guys know, especially HoM members, that I’ve put up a primitive HnG/HoM Chat Page on the right for people to use until Robin and I set up some type of temporary forum for everyone. I decided to create this page to tide people over right now because my real work, Wimmo’s insane amount of translations, and my own preparations for an upcoming Easter break isn’t giving me much time to look into the forum issue at the moment. So go ahead, feel free to chat, send news, links etc etc.

EDIT: After posting the above, I received a few kind offers from different people volunteering to host a temporary HoM forum on their respective sites. I really appreciate what everyone is trying to do, but I personally don’t feel comfortable supporting or promoting another forum using the HoM name especially when we’re not entirely sure if HoM is really dead. If HoM is dead, I think it is only proper to ask SuperJ and the former HoM moderators to moderate any new forum that has the HoM slogan on it before we proceed. Therefore, I set up a temporary chat in order to facilitate the community, and have HoM mods like King of Ken tell us what they plan to do next. These things take time, so please be patient till we work something out.

In other news, I am also looking into creating a forum for HnG, which I would be happy to join with HoM if they so wished. I’m still looking into buying a site, so I would really appreciate it if people could email me regarding a good place to host the site, or give me some ideas as to where the HnG team can moderate their own temporary forum until we receive the funding needed for a permanent solution.

    Rest in Peace Izmoo

    April 2nd, 2009

It is with great sadness that I announce that Izmoo, an active member of the HnK French forums such as Hokuto Legacy and Son of Hokuto (and even a causal member of HoM), died two days ago. I must admit it came as a shock to me because I was in communication with him fairly recently, so the whole experience seems somewhat surreal to say the least. What makes matters worst is that he was young and the cause of death seems like something which could have been avoided. He was a very active scanlator amongst the French HnK community and he even had his own blog Mega-Izmoo in which he shared the HnK series, the new HnK movies, the HnK manga, and other anime/manga in the French language. Lastly, the HnK community is like another type of family to me, and his association with fansubs/scanlations brings things much closer to home. My condolences to his family, and may he rest in peace.

EDIT: Iceman57 has posted the following address of the funeral for those of you who wish to send your condolences directly to Ismael Carrier’s (aka Izmoo) family:

Translators needed for the SnK Manga and Anime!

    September 9th, 2008

    LoverOfHokuto(Avatar)Dear Hokuto clan,

I’m back from my holidays, but I just found out that Effatus (our super speed editor and translator for the SnK manga) is too busy with real life to continue with the pace of production you guys are all used to. The same has happened with our translator for the SnK anime, whom I haven’t heard from in a while. I too am also very busy with real life to do fast translations, although I will still continue translating, albeit at much slower speeds, as long as TUIII (the only editor left) keeps editing and doesn’t leave the group. Thus, the Hokuto Army is sorely lacking the required staff to keep it going, so we urgently need your help!!!

Our first priority is TRANSLATORS, and we therefore need:

    1. A French to English translator for the SnK manga.
    2. A Japanese to English translator for the SnK anime.

If you can help us please join the team ASAP, otherwise you’ll just have to wait for slow releases, or maybe no releases at all! Let’s hope someone shows up so the latter doesn’t happen.

PS – Chapter 41 of the manga has been translated and our editor is working on it right now. Our encoder is hopefully going to do a 2nd version of Episode 12 of the anime because it was slightly mis-timed. It’s almost unnoticeable, but perfectionists like SoH and myself just can’t let it slide.

SnK ch.07, SnK manga staff needed, website fully updated, and a brand new banner!

Here’s chapter 07 of the SnK manga: MegaUpload

We are looking for editors for the Souten no Ken Manga because we’ve only got one editor working on it at the moment and he’s quite busy. Drop me an email at LoverofHokuto@gmail.com if you think you can help, and I will give you the requirements.

I have also pretty much fixed and updated the website to the best of my ability, so check out the following:.

    1. Projects – A summary of the projects we are doing.
    2. Progress Report – A thorough report on the progress of our projects. You will now know as much as us, so don’t ask us questions like when are you going to do blah blah because that information is now readily available to you.
    3. Downloads – The page has been updated to include the latest downloads.

Also, I would like to give many thanks to SpiritofHokuto from HoM who was kind enough to make us a great new banner.

    100 Crack Hokuto Resurrection Technique

    May 19th, 2008

Welcome to the Revolution, well sort of :)

This site will be the place where I will continue the Souten no Ken anime project, as well as other Hokuto related on my own (i.e. without Sentosha). For those who are not familiar with my story, Sentosha, my previous group was a mix of experiences for me. At times it was a great learning experience, and at other times it was just down right frustrating due to the constant disappearing antics of its administrator. It therefore became obvious to me that I needed to move on if I was ever going to complete Souten no Ken and the other Hokuto projects I have been working on.

This site is still in its infancy and it will take a while until the project gets moving again, but just be patient, help if possible, and things will come around quite nicely ;) In the meantime, you can get the first 8 episodes of the Souten no Ken anime, and the first 7 chapters of the Souten no Ken manga in the Downloads page. The manga, of which I’m part of, is currently ongoing so expect frequent future releases.
