His shadow of death thing reminded me of how the HNK Kenshiro was laid out on a raft in the sewers, after being rescued from Souther’s dungeon, and that shadow, or dark aura, whatever, protected him from some thugs who were going to kill his unconscious body. At least, I think it was something like that. The saga is so long, it kind of blurs together sometimes.
