Kinnikuman Cancellation!
Hi guys,
It is with great sadness that I announce to you today the cancellation of Kinnikuman. Unfortunately, the translator that was helping out had to retire permanently due to some very serious real life issues that have arisen, so it’s curtains I’m afraid. I’m sure a lot of you will be heartbroken by the news, but I ask you to refrain from asking me what happened because this is a personal matter I cannot disclose. I’m more than willing to give Kinnikuman another go if there’s any other translators out there who’d like to volunteer, but as of now, consider this canceled.
I’d also like to state that the Hokuto Gaiden manga projects (not the SnK manga) are also going to suffer a rather significant slow down too, because we’ve only got 1 translator left. Again, if there’s any translator out there who wants to help us out, please don’t hesitate to drop me a line at my email.
Sorry guys, I know a lot of you will be gutted by the news, but there’s really nothing else I can do now. If it’s any consolation, I do have Episode 5, so I’ll release that sometime next week.
Hope everythings ok, my prayers are with him. He’s brought us plenty of joy with his translations and for that I’m eternally gratefull.

I’d also like to add that I have a bunch of papers due next week, so I’ll be unable to devote much time to translating for a few weeks.

That’s so bad news… :( Really like this kinniku guy, now the only thing left is to hope sometime in future to start again. GO GO MUSCLE!!!
I hope it got back and you find a new translator ^^ And all go back to normal…It is sad but I understand.

Will Bo-bobo be affected too?
I prefer you don’t because I’d prefer people don’t debate this issue any further. The bottom line is that the translator is gone, so if people want us to continue, I suggest you all show us support and do what you can to get us a new translator. There’s really nothing else to say.
LoverofHokuto pretty much said it better than I can, but Molanphy, Bo-bobo and Otokojuku will not be affected since it’s me, not Wimmo, working on them.
oh man. I am very said to hear this.I was really looking forward to kinnikuman. thank you very much for the episodes that were released and thank you for the translator for the work he has done.

I am really bummed out by this sad news, but I’m looking forward to episode #5. I would also like to thank everyone who worked on the first 5 Kinnikuman episodes. That’s still 5 more episodes than I thought I’d ever see subtitled of this fantastic, underrated show.
Since Studio ADTRW has already subtitled the first 6 episodes of Sakigake!! Otokojuku, are you planning to start with episode 7, to conserve on translation resources?
*sigh* Very unfortunate news, I was so happy that someone finally picked up the anime of my third favorite manga…well, thanks for what we’ve got, and keep doing what you guys do best, I’ve still got many releases to look forward to.
Sad news. I just got back into Kinnikuman stuff this year and was pleasantly surprised to find that people were translating both the manga and the anime. As the other poster said, 5 episodes is 5 more than I thought I’d see. Thanks so much for those 5 episodes and good luck to the translator in whatever personal issues he is having.
Please note that Kinnikuman is not done for good. If we have another translator or two, we may just pick it up again. However, as long as I’m the only translator here, it’s not going to happen. I just can’t handle the extra work.
please continue this anime series .. :(

I am glad to know he is ok. What was really concerning me was if something very serious happened.

Also, I will be continuing to seed the episodes released in case anyone still wants to get what’s out.

This news makes me sad. I greatly appreciate the 4 (5?) episodes that were released so far. I hope in the near future you find a translator to continue this greatly underrated series. If there was someway I could help I would. Unfortunately the only things I have to offer are a unlimited amount of free time and a 3rd grade reading level of Japanese :( Good luck finding more help. I’ll be patiently waiting.
Oh man!!! I donated money for the sole reason of seeing Kinnikuman translated :( Can´t say how disappointed and even a little angry right now. I really hope someone shows up to help you with this.
